Overview
You can change the Originator, also known as the Sender ID, for SMS messages sent from an account in the Nucleus portal by using your Reseller account.
Note: The Originator control on the SMS Broadcast page may appear greyed out. This is not the control used to change the Sender ID. Use Management & Reports > Account Management (SMS) and update Message Originator for the relevant account instead.
Change the SMS Originator
- Log in to the Nucleus portal using your Reseller account.
- Go to Management & Reports > Account Management (SMS).
- Find the account whose SMS Originator you want to change.
- Select the blue gear button to the right of that account.
- Find Message Originator.
- Select Update to the right of Message Originator.
- Enter the Originator value you want to use and save the change.
Verify the change
- Return to the account's SMS settings and confirm that the Message Originator displays the value you saved.
- Send a test SMS to a controlled number.
- Confirm that the sender shown on the received message matches the Originator you configured.
