This article provides information about whether using a mobile phone with CallStream's Fusion solution is supported.

Information

CallStream's Fusion solution is part of CallStream's Card Payment Processing (CPP) module within the Nucleus platform. This service allows agents to receive card payments over the phone by creating a three way conference with a third-party call and CallStream's CPP Fusion number. By including the Fusion number in the call, agents to be able to collect credit card details from the caller using DTMF input.

This service is supported by phone systems that allow the creation of three way calls (conference calls) and also allow DTMF to pass successfully through the call. Because of the way conference calls are set up in mobile phone networks, CallStream cannot guarantee the DTMF tones will be transmitted successfully through the formed conference call. As such, agents should not use CallStream's fusion solution from their mobile phones. 

Note: Issues arise when agents try to create the conference call from a mobile phone. However, it is possible to add a caller that is using a mobile phone to the conference call.
